《大学英语》College English 是各大学院校非英语专业学生的一门必修课。培养学生的英语综合应用能力，特别是听、说能力、自主学习能力、综合文化素养等。
建议学生可在修完此课程后报考大学英语四六级考试.全国大学英语考试(College English Test,简称CET)是1987年由教育部高教司主持实施的一种大规模的标准化考试，是针对广大英语学习者，尤其是非英语专业大学生的一种水平测试，分为四级和六级，达到四级为基本要求，达到六级为较高要求。由于四、六级英语考试是目前高校中唯一的“统考”科目，是我国目前最大的英语水平测试,社会认可度高。
