Control Noise Pollution
Many workers complain that their working hours have spoiled by noise. Noise pollution is becoming a serious problem Continued exposure to noise of high intensity leads to loss of hearing. There are more and more workers with occupational deafness. Very heavy street traffic and other noises disturb people's working space and lower the quality of their work. Therefore, it is necessary to control noise.
To control this pollution we can reduce the source, change our ways of acting, or absorb noise. The most obvious source reduction is simply the reduction of sound volume. Do not run so many trucks or cars; oil the wheels to reduce the squeaking; design machines so that their parts do not hit or rub against each other. If our ways of acting are changed appropriately, noise can be reduced further. For example, it would be better not to start roaring motors in the early morning when many people are sleeping; aircraft takeoffs should take a route over areas where there were fewer inhabitants.
