80:什么是不可数名词?

Question 80: What is an uncountable noun?

Answer: A noun is considered uncountable when it is something you literally cannot count (e.g. Water, justice, knowledge).    Some mass nouns, or nouns without plural forms, are considered uncountable too (e.g. furniture, luggage, equipment).    Other mass nouns are considered countable or uncountable depending on the context. For example:

The girls sat on the grass. // We found many rare species of grasses at the beach.
Chocolate is glorious. // She ate four chocolates and a tangerine.

问题80:什么是不可数名词?

回答:如果是一样你确实没办法数的东西,我们经常将之视作不可数(如:water, justice, knowledge)。一些很大的东西和没有复数形式的名词也被视作不可数(如:furniture, luggage, equipment)。还有一些词的可数或是不可数要视上下文而定。
例如:The girls sat on the grass. // We found many rare species of grasses at the beach.
Chocolate is glorious. // She ate four chocolates and a tangerine.
