LSP I is about asking for and giving information about a future event.

Language points for LSP I:

Tips for LSP II:
LSP II is about asking for and giving information about a past event, expressing one's inability to answer a question and recommending somebody else to give the information.
Listen to the tape and fill in the gaps of the given examples.
Language points for LSP II:
1) to arrive at = to reach
2) over= finished
3) to give a lecture on space travel
4) the other day (指过去的某一天,往往于过去时连用)
5) popular science book (科普书)
Variations based on the given cues----LSP II
A: Do you know where Dai lives?
B: Yes. He lives in Lane 548, Wenming Lu, but I don't know exactly what his house number is. Ask Lin about it.
A: Please tell me where Dai lives, Lin.
C: OK. He lives at 30, Lane 548, Wenming Lu.
Tips for LSP III:
LSP III is about asking for and giving confirmation of the truth of an event and expressing agreement.
Listen to the tape and fill in the gaps of the given examples.
Language points for LSP III:
1) to fail in the last exam
2) to take something seriously
3) clumsy = unskillful
4) to wither (to cause a plant to become reduced in size, color, strength, etc. )
5) to stay away from home
6) to come last in the spelling contest
7) care about

Variations based on the given cues----LSP III
A: I was told that Henry had broken his precious teapot this morning. // ... Henry had damaged his plastic flowers/ had split boiling water over himself...
B: Really? He must be very sorry about it.
A: I think so. He's always so careless.
B: Yes, and he's very clumsy at housework, too.
