57．哑元音记忆有规律
在英语单词中，除了辅音字母在某些特定的“环境”中不发音外，有时元音字母也会成为不发音的哑音字母，在平时学习中，同学们要特别留心，记住它们在单词中的拼写，以免漏掉。
（1）五个元音字母在非重读音节中除了读[i]或[+]外，有时不发音。例如：listen[%26gt;lisn] lesson[%26gt;lesn]，pencil[%26gt;pensl]。
（2）元音字母e在词尾不发音。例如：name[neim]，Kate[keit]。
（3）元音字母u在a，e，i前面不发音。例如：guess[ges]。
此外，在个别单词中，元音字母组合也不发音。还有beautiful[%26gt;bjut+:ful]（美的）一词中“ea”是哑元音。对于这样的单词，要特别注意它的字母拼写。
