This unit contains essays about space travel: a two-part discussion of its effects on the human body, and an essay arguing for man's going to Mars. The first essay (Part 1) deals with people's responses to weightlessness and offers explanations of the consequences of weightlessness for the human body. The second essay dwells on the issue of human's going to Mars, providing a scientist's point of view about the necessity of and possible reasons for man's going to Mars and supplying enough evidence and logical analyses. The last essay (Part 2) discusses further the effects of space travel on the human body, and in particular the concrete effects of weightlessness and their consequences.
