Please listen to a short passage carefully and prepare to answer some questions.
Many French intellectuals fear that Euro Disney is yet another foreign cultural invasion of France. While the French government has tried to stop English words from polluting the French language by law, it has done everything in its power to attract the theme park to France, therefore allowing a symbol of American culture to be located 32 kilometers east of Paris. Disney claims it is trying to make Euro Disney unique in a manner appropriate to Europe. It does admit, however, that the park will provide an American experience. Disney hopes that this will persuade people who otherwise would travel to the USA to stay in Europe and vacation at Euro Disney. (Words: 113)
