The utilization of multimedia in teaching English is one of the directions of the reform in education of English.

In a word, how to use the multimedia correctly and appropriately, it is the question that we need to pay attention to. Use it to inject new vigor into traditional classroom instruction rationally, favorable to the development of student's intelligence, cultivation of ability and improvement of quality greatly. Make the teacher perform with students just right for the function of the subject aimed to guide. The multimedia becomes first-selected supplementary means of classroom instruction to give play to in the classroom instruction more and more with its science, advance, vivid ocular characteristic, and more important function, it is to be believed by more and more persons. By the large quantities of innovative teacher's attempts in using the multimedia technology and assisting the classroom instruction, it will promote the further optimization of the classroom instruction mode of English as well as the quality of English teaching.
